A bright blue sky stretches above the arid landscape of Joshua Tree National Park, where massive golden boulders rise from the sandy desert floor. Scattered among them, twisted Joshua trees and tall yucca plants stand resilient under the sunlight, creating a striking contrast between the rugged terrain and the clear, open sky.

Trip Length: 14 Days / 13 Nights

Trip Type: Road Trip Fun — Adventure, Family, Creativity, Reconnection

Best For: All travelers (families, couples, creatives, slow adventurers)

Best Seasons: Any, with nuance — desert (skip peak summer), ocean swimming (skip mid-winter)

✨ Introduction – The Story Behind the Journey

We’re Southern California natives — raised by ocean light and warm canyon winds. We grew up in a beach town in LA and raised our children in San Diego. This Southern California itinerary is our love letter: boardwalk mornings, golden hour in Laguna, stargazing in Joshua Tree, laughter on roller coasters, sleepy sunsets over Mission Bay. Home, distilled into a two-week wander.
