If you are looking for a quick, healthy and delicious snack for yourself and your children, you have come to the right place! Try this quick and easy air popped popcorn recipe! All you need is a pot with a tight lid and fresh popcorn kernels, and about 5 minutes.
We used to make this recipe with coconut oil, but realized that you can barely taste the difference without. It’s still so light and fluffy, and much healthier without oil added.
Of course, take caution with popcorn around small children. This snack is ideal for older children, or under close supervision (please ensure they do not have any un-popped kernels in their bowl).
Ingredients:
1/4 cup fresh popcorn kernels
Salt
Steps:
Add 1/4 cup fresh popcorn kernels to small pot.
Heat over low-medium heat
Shake the pot every second or two until popping slows down or the pot begins to overfill. Tip: if you are concerned about burning the popcorn, use a smaller pot so that you will feel it full before it even has the chance to burn. You can also lower the flame to low, which will increase the time a bit.
Take off of heat and serve
Season to taste with salt as desired.
