There are so many amazing tofu recipes. We love trying new ways to incorporate it into our meals, in a way that our kids will enjoy as well. Here is a quick, healthy, and tasty baked BBQ tofu recipe for those that love all things BBQ. The best part is that it doesn't actually require BBQ sauce, just has a few of the typical ingredients with the same great flavor!
It is so hard to keep up with our kids ever changing food preferences. Keeping us on our culinary toes, our kids inspire us to continents creating new quick, healthy, and tasty dishes. This Baked BBQ tofu is now one of our kids’ new favorites (we’ll see what next week has in store).
Baked BBQ Tofu Ingredients:
1 block of tofu
1/4 cup of ketchup
3 tablespoons of canola oil
1 tablespoon of vegan Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon of paprika
Steps:
Preheat the oven to 425F.
Press and dry the tofu.
Cut the tofu into cubes.
In a medium sized bowl, mix all of the ingredients (except the tofu) to make the marinade.
Add in the tofu and mix together, coating every piece with the marinade.
Place the tofu on the baking sheet (try not to stack them).
Bake it in the oven for 15 minutes, flip each piece, and then cook for another 15 minutes.
Note: If you like your tofu a little softer, cook for only 20 minutes and don’t flip.
Enjoy!
